Two men robbed at gunpoint at construction sites

Lexington police are investigating two robberies that occurred within minutes of each other Wednesday morning at two different construction sites on Roosevelt Boulevard.
Police say the first incident occurred at approximately 10 a.m. when a man was approached by two men in the 400 block of Roosevelt Boulevard. The duo robbed him at gunpoint and fled on foot with two cell phones and an undisclosed amount of money. The victim was uninjured and was able to call police for assistance, according to a news release.
Approximately 15 minutes later, a second robbery occurred in the 500 block of Roosevelt Boulevard. A masked man and a woman approached a man and robbed him at gunpoint. The suspects fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim was uninjured and called police for assistance.
Officers in the area located four men near the corner of Michigan Street and Charles Avenue. Two of the men matched descriptions given by the victims in the two robberies.
Police have not charged anyone in connection with the robberies.
It has not yet been determined if the two incidents are related.
