Shooting victim found in street

Police found a man with gunshot wounds lying in the middle of East Third Street in Frankfort about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The 43-year-old Frankfort resident had three gunshot wounds in the upper body, said Frankfort Police Department spokesman Fred Deaton.
The victim was taken to the Frankfort Regional Medical Center, then airlifted to University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington.
Deaton would not release the victim’s name, and said police are interviewing suspects and had not made any arrests as of 11 p.m. Wednesday.
The victim’s condition was not known.
